SHEETAL

Ms. Sheetal began her yoga journey as a New Year’s resolution, and a year of dedicated practice brought profound mental, physical, and emotional transformations. Inspired by these changes, she enrolled in Asan Yoga School in Mumbai and completed a rigorous 200-hour Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training in 2020. During her training, Sheetal immersed herself in yoga philosophy, studying Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras.

One significant sutra, “स्थिरसुखमासनम् ॥४६॥,” emphasizes the importance of steady and comfortable postures (asanas). This principle teaches that yoga practice is about establishing a harmonious connection between body, breath, and mind, fostering true balance and inner peace, even in simple poses like Sukhasana or Padmasana.

Sheetal also explored the sutra “यमनियमासनप्राणायामप्रत्याहारधारणाध्यानसमाधयोऽष्टावङ्गानि ॥२९॥,” which outlines the eight limbs of yoga: Yama, Niyama, Asana, Pranayama, Pratyahara, Dharana, Dhyana, and Samadhi. Embracing these principles, she diligently practiced the Yamas and Niyamas, transforming both her external actions and inner life. This commitment led her to adopt a disciplined lifestyle and cultivate qualities such as confidence, love, compassion, strength, abundance, serenity, peace, and harmony.

Through her study of Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras, Sheetal gained clarity about her life’s purpose and direction. During her exploration of Ashtanga and Iyengar yoga, she began integrating yoga props such as belts, blocks, chairs, bolsters, and blankets into her asana practice. She found that these props enhanced her awareness of body alignment and breath, enabling her to perform asanas more effortlessly and without risk of injury. This mindful approach elevated her practice, making it more effective and precise.

In 2021, She furthered her expertise by completing a Pre-Postnatal Yoga and Garbhasanskar course from AYG Academy in Mumbai. This specialized training enables her to offer comprehensive prenatal and postnatal yoga classes that support expectant and new mothers through every stage of their motherhood journey.

During the COVID-19 lockdown in 2020, She faced significant challenges. To adapt, she began offering online yoga classes, connecting with a wider audience and maintaining strong relationships with her students. The overwhelming success and positive feedback from these sessions fueled her passion and solidified her vision to create a dedicated space for yoga.

Driven by her mission to help others live healthier, more positive lives and her commitment to spreading awareness about yoga, She co-founded Shree Yogvilla Studio in Dombivli. This studio became a powerful symbol of her dedication, offering diverse classes such as Ashtanga Yoga, Pregnancy Yoga, Workshops, and YTTC Programs. It catered to various needs and levels of practitioners, making yoga accessible to all.

Sheetal’s vision for Shree Yogvilla is to create a welcoming and supportive environment where individuals can experience the transformative power of yoga. She aims to guide others on their journeys to better health, increased positivity, and personal growth. Beyond the physical practice, the studio fosters a vibrant community where individuals can find support, inspiration, and a sense of belonging.

Sheetal Kalan’s personal transformation through yoga, professional training, and successful adaptation during the lockdown led to the creation of Shree YogVilla Studio. Her unwavering mission is to share the profound benefits of yoga and help others lead healthier, more positive lives. As B.K.S. Iyengar said, “Yoga does not just change the way we see things, it transforms the person who sees.” Through Shree YogVilla, Sheetal continues to inspire and support a growing community, proving that with dedication and passion, the transformative power of yoga can touch and uplift every aspect of life.
